Whip Rewiring

Replacement of worn or broken wires in commercial mixer whips using stainless spring
steel – restoring performance and extending equipment life.

Restore Your Mixer Whip Instead of Replacing It

Commercial mixer wire whips take a beating in high-volume kitchens – wires break, bend, and corrode over time. Replacing the entire whip assembly is expensive. In many cases, rewiring is a cost-effective alternative that fully restores the whip to working condition.

We replace worn or broken wires using stainless spring steel wire, which is more durable and corrosion-resistant than the original carbon wire found in older whips. All carbon wire whips are upgraded to stainless steel as part of our standard process.

Pricing is based on standard Hobart-style whips by bowl size. We offer complete rewiring (all wires replaced) or individual wire replacement for partially damaged whips. A $50 minimum charge applies to all wire whip repairs.

  • All carbon wire whips are completely rewired with stainless steel wire.
  • Whips with half or more broken/twisted wires should receive a complete rewire.
  • Not all wire whips are repairable – the whip must be able to be taken apart.
  • $50 minimum charge applies to all wire whip repairs.
  • Pricing based on standard Hobart-style whips. Other brands may vary.

Complete Rewire or Individual Wire Replacement?

All Wires Replaced

Every wire in the whip is replaced with new stainless spring steel wire. The whip comes back fully restored and ready for heavy use.

Best when: Half or more of your wires are broken or twisted, you have carbon wire that needs upgrading, or you want a fully restored whip with maximum longevity.

Per-Wire Replacement

Only the broken or damaged wires are replaced. A cost-effective option when damage is limited to a few wires on an otherwise intact stainless whip.

Best when: Only a small number of wires are broken, the remaining wires are stainless steel and in good condition, and a full rewire isn’t warranted.

Whip Rewiring FAQs

Not all whips are repairable – the whip must be able to be taken apart. If you’re unsure whether your whip qualifies, contact us before shipping.

Pricing is based on standard Hobart-style whips. We work on other brands as well – pricing may vary. Call us with your brand and bowl size for an accurate quote.

If half or more of your wires are broken or twisted, a complete rewire is the better value and will give you a fully restored whip. Individual wire replacement is cost-effective when only a few wires are damaged on an otherwise sound stainless whip.

Stainless spring steel is more durable and corrosion-resistant than carbon wire – especially important in commercial kitchen environments where equipment is frequently washed. All carbon wire whips we service are rewired with stainless steel as standard.

There is a $50 minimum charge on all wire whip repairs, regardless of the number of wires replaced.
